Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data MaoVPN handles, why it is used, and how it is managed when providing cross-border access, international routes, and network acceleration subscriptions.
Last updated: August 2026
MaoVPN follows a no-logs policy. It does not record which websites users access or create browsing records that could be used to reconstruct personal online activity.
Data Collection and Processing Purposes
No email address is required to create a MaoVPN account; a username and password are sufficient. The service processes the username, secure password verification results, account status, and subscription status for authentication, account management, service delivery, and security checks. Passwords are used to verify account access and are not exposed to routine business processes in directly readable form.
To calculate plan usage and display account status, the service processes account-level traffic totals, traffic reset status, and subscription validity. These data support plan rules and do not include website names, page content, search queries, or the contents of communications.
Order processing creates records such as the order number, selected plan, amount due, payment status, refund status, and processing time. These records support delivery, payment reconciliation, refunds, dispute resolution, and financial recordkeeping. Explanations, screenshots, or diagnostic materials submitted voluntarily through a support ticket are used only to handle the related request.
No-Logs Policy and Connection Data
MaoVPN does not record websites accessed through its network acceleration connections, content transferred within applications, domain requests, or the contents of communications. It does not build user profiles from such information or maintain browsing logs that continuously link a specific account to a specific destination.
Account status and traffic totals required to operate the connection service are used only for authentication, usage calculation, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention. The service does not retain connection logs that could reconstruct personal access history, so it does not set a long-term retention period for such logs. Diagnostic materials submitted by users are used only as needed to resolve an issue and are deleted or separated from the account once no longer needed.
Cookies, Local Storage, and Website Analytics
The website and user panel may use cookies or browser local storage to save language preferences, login status, interface settings, and necessary security information. These data maintain sessions, restore user choices, and support account functions. After browser storage is cleared, users may need to log in again or select certain settings again.
MaoVPN uses analytics on its marketing website and help pages to understand whether pages load correctly, which content needs improvement, and where errors occur. Analytics may include visited pages, referring pages, browser type, device category, language settings, and technical request information. Website analytics are separate from access destinations within network acceleration connections and are not used to record the specific content users access through international routes.
Payment Processing and Data Sharing
MaoVPN supports Alipay, WeChat, and USDT. Payments are handled by the relevant payment channel, which receives the information needed to complete a transaction under its own rules. MaoVPN retains the amount, channel, transaction status, and order outcome needed to reconcile an order, but does not store the complete payment credentials that the payment channel requires users to submit.
Relevant service providers access only the data needed to complete payments, provide infrastructure, conduct analytics, handle support tickets, or meet applicable obligations. MaoVPN limits the scope of shared data and requires processing activities to match the agreed purposes. Account information is not used for unrelated purposes except when necessary to fulfill orders, maintain service security, respond to lawful requests, or protect user rights.
Data Retention and Deletion
While an account and subscription remain active, MaoVPN retains the account status, subscription records, and order records needed to provide the service. After an account stops being used, relevant data are retained only as needed for refunds, financial reconciliation, dispute resolution, security reviews, or applicable obligations. When those purposes end, the data are deleted, separated from the account, or gradually overwritten through backup updates.
Users can sign in to the account panel and submit a support ticket to request access to, correction of, or deletion of identifiable account information. Account control may need to be verified before a deletion request is processed. If some order records cannot yet be deleted because of settlement, dispute handling, or applicable obligations, the service restricts their use and continues the deletion process once the retention reason no longer applies.
Policy Updates and User Choices
MaoVPN may revise this policy when its features, data processing practices, or applicable rules change. The updated text will be published on this page, and the last-updated date at the top will be changed accordingly. Changes that materially affect the scope of data processing will receive an appropriate notice through the website or account panel.
Users can review the updated policy before continuing to use the service. If they have questions about data handling or wish to exercise rights related to account information, they can submit a support ticket through the account panel. Because an email address is not required for registration, the service will not treat email notification as a necessary condition for policy updates or privacy requests.
